Skin Lifting and Tightening
What Do Skin Lifting and Tightening Treatments Address?
Skin tightening treatments address laxity or sagging skin. As we age, we lose collage and elastin in the skin which keep us looking taut when we’re younger. Often sagging is compounded by age-related volume loss in the face. Signicant sagging and volume loss must be addressed by plastic surgery and volume replacement with fillers or fat. Nonsurgical tightening treatments are appropriate for mild to moderate cases of skin laxity. They can be done in combination with fillers for better results.
Which Skin Tightening Treatments are Available at Beatitude?
Tightening treatments until recently have been largely radiofrequency devices. Thermage was the first device to enter the marketplace, and Beatitude has the latest 3rd generation Thermage CPT. We also have ReFirme and Venus Freeze RF devices for tightening. Ulthera is the latest device to enter the marketplace. It utilizes high intensity focused ultrasound for tightening and lifting effects.
How Many Treatments Are Required and Is There Down Time?
Thermage and Ulthera require one treatment and maintenance every 1-3 years. ReFirme is done in a monthly series of 5 and then one treatment every 6 months for maintenance. Venus Freeze is done in a weekly series of 6 and then one treatment every 1-3 months for maintenance. There is no down time with any of these treatments. Clients leave our clinic looking tighter and glowing!
Which Areas Can Be Treated By These Tightening Devices?
Face treatment involves the entire face and under the chin/jowls. We can also treat face and neck. Other body parts also typically treated (by RF devices) are upper arms, stomach, and thighs/buttocks.
What Are the Costs of Tightening Treatments?
Treatments can range from $300-$3295, some done singly and some in series. Specific pricing will be discussed during your consultation and will vary based on the size of the area(s) being treated.
