It’s official, spring is here! To help your skin look its best spring through summer and beyond, we’ve prepared a quick list of spring skin care essentials. Armed with these tips (and the helpful advice of Dr. Chang), your skin will look radiant all season long.
Stick to a Routine
How often do you cleanse your skin? If you’re not a schedule, you should be. Daily cleansing and moisturizing is a must. Typically, Dr. Chang recommends twice daily cleansing followed by a minimum with a moisturizer. Toners, serums and other skin care products can be helpful, especially if you have problem skin.
Creating a skin care routine might seem pointless, but it ensures you get it done. You wouldn’t leave the house without brushing your teeth … get in the same habit with your skin.
Slather on the Sunscreen
Summer is right around the corner, making this the perfect time for a sunscreen reminder. But, if you’re only using sunscreen on trips to the beach, you’re doing your skin a huge disservice. Use sunscreen every day and lots of it. To get the full benefits, you need at least a nickel-sized dollop on your face alone, a shot glass filled for a body application. Reapply every two hours, more often if you’re wet or sweaty.
Invest in Quality Products
If you want gorgeous skin, it might be time to trade in that $2 bottle of cleanser from the grocery store. Medical grade skin care products deliver clinical grade results to your skin. We offer several lines of top quality products here at Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine & Acne Center. Come in for specialized recommendations for your skin.
Target Trouble Areas
Take a look at your skin. Do you see any problems you’d like to address? If you have brown spots, try a skin rejuvenation treatment. Acne or acne scars? We have treatment options available too. Don’t be embarrassed by your skin problems; get treatment and feel more confident. Dr. Chang has a passion for helping patients to transform. She wants to help your discover your most beautiful self.
