So many people buy their beauty products from Amazon. One of the most popular ways to judge a product’s effectiveness and quality is to look at the customer reviews. Sometimes, they are a great indicator of how well a product works, but sometimes that’s not the case.
In today’s beauty blog, I’ll be looking at the top 3 facial care products and letting you know what I think. Have you tried any of these? Do you have another favorite? Find us on Instagram and let us know!
1. Schick Silk Touch-Up Dermaplaning Tool
Agnes RF Microneedling
Dermaplaning tools are multifunctional because they can trim and shape eyebrows, remove “peach fuzz” from the surface of the skin, and scrape away dead skin cells to reveal fresher looking skin. When used carefully and gently, this tool can be a helpful part of your weekly beauty routine for gentle exfoliation and smoother looking skin.
Go even deeper: Microneedling uses multiple tiny needles to penetrate under the skin. This treatment reduces scars, fine lines, and wrinkles, improves skin texture, and promotes collagen production. I also use advanced microneedling devices such as Agnes RF that utilize radiofrequency energy for improved results (and skin tightening, too!).
Microdermabrasion is another way to exfoliate the surface of the skin. It does so at a superficial level to remove dead skin cells, clean out pores, and improve minor skin texture issues. Chemical peels offer chemical-based exfoliation to brighten the skin. Licensed estheticians are highly qualified skin professionals who can perform these treatments.
2. Mighty Patch Original Spot Treatment
Lutronic Genius Results
Pesky blemishes are no match for this little patch! Simply place over a pimple and leave on for just 6 hours to reduce its appearance. I like the idea of this product because it targets just the acne without needing to spread acne medication on the surrounding skin. Better yet, this product contains ingredients that prevent the skin from drying out.
Go even deeper: If you suffer from acne scarring and breakouts, I like to address this issue from both sides. First, I recommend science-backed products here in the office that work beautifully to reduce acne flare-ups. Once breakouts are under control, Lutronic Genius works wonders to smooth out mild to moderate acne scarring; deep-pitted scars can be filled in with a dermal filler product.
3. TruSkin Vitamin C Serum for Face
I have nothing against this product except that it does not contain prescription strength levels of vitamin C. If you’re looking for a less expensive, less effective vitamin C serum, this is a good value. However, if you’re going to spend $36 on this product and get meager results, why bother?
Go even deeper: My philosophy is to spend money on good quality skin products that really work. In the end, you’ll get better results (and you deserve it)! This leads to needing fewer skin care products at a time and could even help you put off cosmetic procedures like RF microneedling or laser skin resurfacing for a longer amount of time.
