Five Tips for Stunning Skin this Fall

For gorgeous skin from back-to-school through Thanksgiving and on into winter, we’ve got some tips for you. Come on in to Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine for personalized advice customized to your skin. These tips will help your skin make the transition from summer to fall flawlessly.

Keep Using Your Sunscreen

You might not be lounging on the beach, but you still need your sunscreen. Use sunscreen daily, no matter the season. A good SPF 30+ is generally enough for most days, but use a higher SPF if you’ll be spending time in the sun. If you’re running low on sunscreen, or if you want to try something new, ask us for a product recommendation. We carry a wide range of medical-grade skin care products and would love to help you find the right sunscreen for your skin.

Skip the Hot Showers

It’s getting colder. As the temperatures drop, avoid the temptation to warm up in a hot shower. Hot water melts the oils in the skin and washes them away. This can leave your skin feeling itchy, irritated and dried out. If you’re feeling chilly, grab a cup of coffee or hot cocoa instead of hitting the showers and enjoy better skin.

Try a New Moisturizer

During the summer months light, airy moisturizers often work best, but as the temperatures drop, your skin might appreciate something a little richer. If your skin is feeling dry as we transition into fall, it might be time to try a new moisturizer.

Don’t Forget the Lips

When we think of fall skin care, we often think of the skin on the cheeks, chin and forehead, but don’t forget, the lips are skin too. Start using a lip balm or moisturizer now to avoid sore, cracked lips mid-winter. A little prevention can make a big difference. Pucker up!

Exfoliate

Say goodbye to summer once and for all with a good exfoliating treatment. A chemical peel is a great way to loosen and remove dead skin cells. We offer a variety of chemical peels from top skin care lines (including Obagi and Jan Marini) to freshen up your skin this fall. Many chemical peels require no downtime after treatment.

Fall is on its way, but with these skin care tips, you’ll look amazing. Call today to schedule your consultation with Dr. Chang.

Patient Stories Dr. Chang has an eye for symmetry and aesthetics. I went in for a consultation to have fillers under my eyes. Instead I was educated on my facial anatomy. I agreed to some fillers in my forehead and cheeks instead and could not be more pleased with the outcome.
