Thermage® CPT

Thermage Comfort Pulse Technology

If the signs of aging are troubling you, there is no longer a need for invasive surgery and scars. At Beatitude, Dr. Chang can help you turn back the clock with Thermage CPT (Comfort Pulse Technology) – a revolutionary skin tightening procedure that is often called a non-surgical facelift or “lunchtime facelift.” It improves mild to moderate signs of aging, helping you look more youthful without even one incision. The results are subtle, but significant. People will comment that you look great, but no one will know you had a cosmetic procedure.

Thermage CPT can:

  • Smooth and tighten the face and neck
  • Redefine contours along the jaw line (sagging jowls) and around and under the chin
  • Improve hooding over the eyes (sagging upper eyelids)
  • Soften mild to moderate lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, and forehead
  • Stimulate natural collagen production

Thermage has been considered the gold standard non-surgical, radiofrequency skin tightening technology for more than a decade, and CPT is Thermage’s latest generation. It provides both greater comfort and even better results than earlier generations.

How does Thermage CPT work?

As we age, collagen in your skin begins to break down. This is what causes the skin to become more lax than when we were younger. Thermage CPT corrects this problem by (1) stimulating your skin to produce more collagen and (2) tightening the skin of the face and neck.

Thermage uses advanced radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of skin, while the top skin layers remain cool and protected. The heat serves to both tighten the skin and accelerate collagen production.

Dr. Chang also uses Thermage for body shaping/contouring. If you are interested in this procedure, visit our Body Shaping page.

Who is a candidate for Thermage CPT on the face and neck?

Both men and women love Thermage CPT, and it works on all skin types. If you have lost some skin laxity on your face and are concerned about the signs of aging, Thermage may be an excellent alternative to plastic surgery.

Always on the cutting edge of new technologies, Dr. Chang provides a full array of FDA-approved, time-tested aesthetic procedures. During your consultation, she will help you make an informed decision about Thermage CPT or another treatment that may be best to help you look the way you want.

What can I expect from a Thermage CPT treatment?

Thermage CPT is a very well-tolerated and comfortable treatment. No premedication or numbing is needed, and your Thermage procedure will take 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

You can expect some tightening of the skin immediately after your procedure, and your skin will feel smoother and look brighter. Over the next 2-3 months, your face will gradually look tighter and younger as the collagen remodeling continues. Most importantly, Thermage produces very natural-looking results.

What does recovery from facial Thermage CPT require?

There is no down time with Thermage. Our clients leave Beatitude looking tighter, brighter, and glowing! Bruising or blistering are incredibly rare events.

How long do the results of Thermage CPT last?

While no two patients are the same, the results of Thermage CPT can last 1-3 years. Some factors that can shorten the duration of the treatment effectiveness include smoking, sun, and stress. Many of our clients do maintenance tightening treatments – Thermage or Ulthera or ReFirme or Venus Freeze – to maintain youthful appearance.

Thermage on The View

.
Patient Stories Dr. Chang has an eye for symmetry and aesthetics. I went in for a consultation to have fillers under my eyes. Instead I was educated on my facial anatomy. I agreed to some fillers in my forehead and cheeks instead and could not be more pleased with the outcome.
