Dr. Aeria Chang
“I am awed by each person’s unique beauty, and it’s a wonderful thing to watch as an individual discovers and appreciates their God-given beauty. As my clients experience outward transformations, there’s a ripple effect into other areas of their lives. I can now confidently say that we truly change lives – one client at a time. It is my hope and desire that my clients will experience and achieve Beatitude – a beautiful attitude – not only in the physical dimension, but in intellectual, emotional and spiritual realms as well.” – Dr. Aeria Chang
Medical Training
After receiving her B.A./M.D. degrees from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Aeria Chang completed her Internal Medicine training at Faulkner Hospital in Boston and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Dr. Chang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Associate of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. She practiced in various locations for more than a dozen years when, in 2006, she saw a young teenager whose cystic acne improved after laser treatments. This led Dr. Chang to discover a new passion – laser and other non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Chang’s Introduction to Laser Acne Treatment
In 2007, she took an office-based preceptorship with a local dermatologist. She saw the limitations in traditional acne therapies, including intolerable side effects such as dryness, peeling, and hyperpigmentation. So she began to explore more sustainable solutions, such as laser acne treatments.
Founding of Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine
In 2008, Dr. Chang and her husband Scott Eisenberg founded Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine in Mission Valley. Since the beginning, Dr. Chang has been a passionate advocate of aesthetic procedures that are safe for all skin colors, that enhance each patient’s unique and natural beauty, and that have little to no pain or downtime.
Since the start of her practice, Dr. Chang has been at the leading edge of an explosive growth in the aesthetic industry. She was one of the first in the nation to offer SkinFinity for safely resurfacing ethnic skin; Venus Freeze for tightening and body shaping; platelet-rich plasma, Clear & Brilliant and Permea for facial rejuvenation. She has built up her tool box to include the latest aesthetic devices, and she is on a continual quest to educate herself and her staff.
Dr. Chang believes that each person is a composite of body, soul, and spirit. She is humbled by each person’s UNIQUE beauty, a reflection of internal and external attributes. In fact, the name Beatitude means blessings and a beautiful attitude. She believes in celebrating beauty in ourselves, in others, in nature, and in the created works of talented fellow human beings. Finally, she views Matthew Chapter 5 Beatitudes as the highest standard by which Christians can live out their faith.
