Tip #1: Check your water quality

If you regularly wash your face in hard water, you may need to use more gentle cleansers and moisturize more often. If you regularly wash your face in soft water, you may want to use less cleanser because soft water doesn’t remove residue as well.

Tip #2: Sip this green stuff

Drinking green tea can help decrease systemic inflammation, thus protecting your skin against acne-causing inflammatory damage.  It can also reduce UV-induced skin damage.

Tip #3: Drink this green stuff, too

A shot of chlorophyll every morning will oxygenate, brighten, and hydrate your skin. Chlorophyll supplements and green vegetable juices work, too. Tip #4: Do yoga and meditate

Tip #5: Wear sunscreen – even indoors

Did you know you UVA rays can penetrate clouds as well as windows in both your house and your car? It’s true, which makes it important to wear sunscreen indoors and outdoors, rain or shine. Protecting your skin from UVA damage means reducing the likelihood of wrinkles, sun damage, and skin cancer. Wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses provide added sun protection.

Tip #6: Get your omega-3s

Flax seeds. Walnuts. Salmon. These foods provide omega-3 fatty acids that help increase your skin’s ability to hold onto moisture. And that moisture keeps your skin plump and fresh looking.

Tip #7: Hydrate

You probably already know you need to use moisturizer on your skin both day and night. But even that won’t be enough if you’re not drinking plenty of water every day. The moisturizers you put on top of your skin help it retain water. But if there’s not enough water in your skin in the first place, then they can’t make much difference. Staying hydrated is key when it comes to having beautiful skin.

Tip #8: Use the right products

Whether your skin is oily and acne-prone or dry and mature, it’s important to use the right products for your particular skin.
