ALMI – A Natural Complement to Dermal Fillers
There is a new skin rejuvenation treatment making waves in the industry with an all-natural approach to giving you a younger look.
It goes by the name ALMI, which stands for Autologous Lipocyte Micronized Injections. This new process uses no synthetic ingredients and instead harvests a variety of natural cells and ingredients from within your body.
ALMI is a natural complement to dermal fillers and offers a great method for achieving natural-looking results.
How Does ALMI Work?
ALMI uses a combination of stem cells, collagen and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) that is taken from fatty deposits around your body. These ingredients are mixed together and injected around your face, hands, neck and other areas, alerting your body to start producing fresh collagen on its own in these areas.
ALMI is similar to a traditional fat-transfer procedure, except that the cells taken from your body are carefully separated and blended with PRP, which creates a smoother, more natural result.
What Are Treatments Like?
ALMI treatments usually involve a first stage where the existing cells are harvested from your body. Then they are placed in a centrifuge to separate the helpful cells and concentrate them into an injectable fluid.
Then your doctor will use a small syringe to inject the ALMI fluid just beneath your skin. The number of injection sites will depend on the area being treated and the severity of the wrinkles that are being filled.
In most cases the entire treatment can be completed in less than 45 minutes.
How Quickly Do I See Results?
Immediately after the injections are done you will see results. However, over the course of several weeks your body will absorb the fluid and go to work producing its own new collagen. Thus, your final results will be apparent within a few weeks.
Is It Safe?
Since ALMI relies entirely on ingredients taken from your own body, there is minimal risk of allergic reaction. In particular, ALMI shows promise for very sensitive areas such as near the eyes, where other dermal fillers may not be appropriate.
Used in Conjunction with Dermal Fillers
While ALMI can be used as an alternative to dermal fillers, it can also be used as a natural complement to them. At Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine, we will consult with you about your desired results and recommend a course of treatment to best achieve them on your desired budget.
How Do I Get ALMI?
The first step to trying ALMI is contacting your local ALMI experts at Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine. We will meet with you to determine whether ALMI or one of our other services, or a combination of them, is the best option for your individual case. Then we will schedule an appointment to perform your procedure and give you healthier, younger-looking skin.
